Bullet Journal for 2020

My Bullet Journal for 2020 has been the most successful focusing tool I have found to keep me on track with my writing.

Over this last year I have been mostly consistent with writing in my Bullet Journal, the times I’ve not have either been A – down and dirty with one project, or B – I lost focus. Unfortunately, it usually takes a little while to realise I went down the second Rabbit hole.

To make sure I use this focus tool next year, I am working on setting up 2021 journal spreads and I’m loving it. Especially now I have a better understanding of what I want to use it for. Creating this Journal is an amazing feeling of looking forward, thinking about what I want my goals to be next. Nothing is quite the same as doing this on paper. I set up a trello board for my 2021 goals for a start, but it’s just not the same as writing them down on paper. I’ll share some of these layouts when I do my goals post later in the year.

As I look back at the spreads over the last 9 months I have been using a journal, I can see how far I have come. There are 2 spreads in particular I have recreated in each of the journals I used (fox journal for start of 2020, then into a new B5 journal for the 2nd half of 2020, and now my new 2021 journal).

Book Reading – I love tracking what I have read over the year. Doing it on goodreads doesn’t have the same feel of accomplishment.

Weight Loss – Having pac man eating his way through the progress just adds another level to loosing losing weight.

Word Count – This worked well when I was writing a new story – but less so when I am editing, so it will come and go with the projects instead of being monthly.

My weekly and monthly spreads have changed as well. The last time I posted was September, so here are a few more of my designs for the end of the year.
